I'm delighted that we've secured over £250m investment in our hospitals - the largest in our local NHS’ history. But what does this mean on the ground?
Eight new ‘barn’ theatres at Poole, as well as a 24/7 Urgent Treatment Centre.
A brand new B.E.A.C.H building at Royal Bournemouth Hospital, which will deal with births, emergency and critical care, as well as children's health.
We are also benefitting from a new maternity unit, and a pathology lab.
These investments have been won by going to Westminster and fighting for our local area. By persuading Ministers that we need those resources here for us and our families. I hope these facilities will raise the standard of local healthcare for generations to come.
That's what I've always tried to do, to make sure that we get our fair share down here in Bournemouth and Poole.
