A number of my constituents have recently contacted me to enquire how they may be able to assist in support for the people of Ukraine.
If you would like to donate, you can do so by visiting one of several drop-off points locally. These include:
Castle Point Shopping Centre (BH8 9UZ, in the former Argos building) where they have been inundated with generous donations of first aid supplies, canned food, blankets, pillows and toiletries. This drop off centre is open from 0900-1700.
There is also a drop off point centrally at the Thrive Health and Wellness Store in Bournemouth centre (BH2 5LR), open weekdays 0930-1800, or a further drop off point at Sideshow Agency at the Lansdowne Avalon building (26-32 Oxford Road, BH8 8EZ).
Drop off points and their selfless volunteers have asked if your generous donations can be boxed and labelled for easier processing.
Alternatively, you can donate to the British Red Cross Crisis Appeal athttps://www.redcross.org.uk/.../wha.../international/ukraine
Or, the Disaster Emergency Committee Appeal at Ukraine Humanitarian Appealhttps://www.dec.org.uk/appeal/ukraine-humanitarian-appeal (dec.org.uk), where the government has today announced it will match donations, starting with £20 million.
Finally, if there is anything I can do as your MP to support you or your family in Ukraine please do not hesitate contacting me at Conor.burns.mp@parliament.uk
