The planning application for land around Highmoor Farm has caused much anxiety in the community. Although the site was allocated in the Poole Local Plan by Councillors the way this has been handled by BCP Council has been terrible. The Council have got themselves into a position where the applicant is appealing due to non-determination despite the Planning Board rejecting it. This could cost the Council tens of thousands of pounds. Having listened to the concerns of the community and the Chair of the Talbot Village Residents Association Jo Keeling I have written to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Michael Gove to ask him to look at this and see if he has powers to intervene.
