Conor was delighted to welcome Rt Hon Tom Tugendhat MP, the security minister to his constituency, to address a dinner of his business club in Bournemouth. Mr Tugendhat in answer to a question where the questioner asked if the minister was not too young to hold such high office was able to give a robust reply indicating that he was not that young, and had had much experience including serving as Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, experience of the security services, had commanded troops in Afghanistan War after being commissioned as a reservist in 2003, promoted to Lt Col in 2013 and served as an assistant to the Chief of the Defence Staff.
Mr Tugendhat also said how much he valued Conor as a Conor friend, colleague, effective parliamentarian, and government minister.
