Some events of history are so sordid and grotesque that their impact does not fade with the passage of years. That could not be more true than of the holocaust. Each year the number of survivors diminishes yet the sheer horror of those events - still in living memory - remains as vivid as ever.
This year with the pandemic still potent we have more time to reflect than usual. This Holocaust Memorial Day I keep in my thoughts all those who suffered and died at the hands of those consumed by hate and ignorance. I pray for the Jewish community of Bournemouth and for a society in which the innate value of every human being is valued simply for their very humanity
