Conor was invited to Royal Bournemouth Hospital (RBH) by RBH Chief Executive, Tony Spotswood. The visit was a great opportunity for Conor and Tony to sit down and discuss the Care Quality Commission’s Clinical Services Review, in which it was decided to close Poole Hospital A&E with RBH set to become the major emergency centre for East Dorset.
Whilst being told of the day-to-day operations of the hospital, Conor toured several wards including A&E, Coronary Care & the Investigation Unit. He was able to spend time speaking with both staff and patients about the service.
Conor will monitor the progress of the changes to the hospitals to ensure constituents continue to have access to the highest quality service possible in Bournemouth.
