On the day that the UK formally left the EU on 31st January 2020 I spoke in a debate on 'Global Britain'. Almost one year on and with the transition period over I spoke again on Monday in a debate on the same subject. While we are consumed with dealing with the pandemic it is important that we still work on what happens after it is over. The success of our country is now in our hands. I want to see an outward-looking, internationalist, confidant and truly Global Britain in the years ahead. I was able to make a very short contribution early on in this debate which you can watch above.
